It's been awhile since posting here, so here's an update.
Nobody is listening probably anyway, but here it is anyway.
I was employed up until July 2011, then the layoff came.
So I have been doing odd jobs and collecting my pension.
My wife isnt doing so well, and the funds are not what they used to be.
My aunt sent me an email with a you tube video of Sissel.
Seems my whole world turned around. I found joy in her music.
It was truly amazing what hearing this angelic voice has done to me.
My zune now has a few megabytes of Sissel music on it.
For the last few days that's all I've listened to.
Thank You Sissel.

Warped Rotors..? Think again...

http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_warped_brakedisk.shtml#

There is a procedure to break in your pads after a new set has been installed,,
And there is new evidence showing that the out of balance condition or wobble is not a warped rotor as generally is thot, it is in fact, brake pad material being deposited on the rotor.

We need another Dr Ben Franklin today...

Few men have exhibited a more worthy conduct than did Dr. Franklin, through his long life. Through every vicissitude of fortune, he seems to have been distinguished for his sobriety and temperance, for his extraordinary perseverance and resolution. He was not less distinguished for his veracity, for the constancy of his friendship, for his candor, and his fidelity to his moral and civil obligations. In the early part of his life, he acknowledged himself to have been skeptical in religion, but he became in mature years, according to the testimony of his Intimate friend, Dr. William Smith, a believer in divine revelation. The following extract from his memoirs, written by himself, deserves to be recorded: "And here let me with all humility acknowledge, that to Divine Providence I am indebted for the felicity I have hitherto enjoyed. It is that power alone Which has furnished me with the means I have employed, and that has crowned them with success My faith in this respect leads me to hope, though I cannot count upon it, that the divine goodness will still be exercised towards me, either by prolonging the duration of my happiness to the close of life, or by giving me fortitude to support any melancholy reverse which may happen to me as well as to many others. My future fortune is unknown but to Him, in whose hand is our destiny, and who can make our very afflictions subservient to our benefit."
The body of
BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, Printer,
Like the cover of an old book,
its contents torn out,
and stript of its lettering and gilding,
lies here food for worms;
Yet the work itself shall not be lost,
For it will (as he believed) appear once more
in a new and more beautiful edition
Corrected and amended
by the Author.

1941 Chevrolet 1/2 ton truck restoration underway

I have been working on a 1941 Chevy truck for the past couple of years. Mostly gathering needed missing parts. Still need a wiring harness, a brake master cylinder, bed mount kit and wood for the bed, glass and weatherstripping, and some fender welting. I have purchased parts from ebay, craigslist, bow tie bits and Jim carter chevy parts. The next few months will tell whether or not it is ready for the local spring fair. I was hoping to drive it in the parade in May. Lot's of work left to do though, just hoping to have the time and money to get it done.
