1941 Chevrolet 1/2 ton truck restoration underway

I have been working on a 1941 Chevy truck for the past couple of years. Mostly gathering needed missing parts. Still need a wiring harness, a brake master cylinder, bed mount kit and wood for the bed, glass and weatherstripping, and some fender welting. I have purchased parts from ebay, craigslist, bow tie bits and Jim carter chevy parts. The next few months will tell whether or not it is ready for the local spring fair. I was hoping to drive it in the parade in May. Lot's of work left to do though, just hoping to have the time and money to get it done.

First utterings.. humble beginnings

Wow,, the whole world is listening, ahh but only if they read this.
I have a friend, actually more than one, but this one is a old buddy from when I was in the Navy. We spent some time on USS Saratoga CV60 in the 70's... went halfway around the world with him. We visited the volcano Mt Vesuvius and the city of Pompeii in Italy, also took a tour of the French Alps, Cannes and Nice and Monacco. Once when we were trying to find a train to get back to Nice from Monaco Bob asks me, 'Hey, didnt you say you took french in high school'? I said yep sure did,, then Bob asks, "Well what's the french word for train"?,, I was called out, couldn't remember, felt like an idiot, told him I got an F in that class,, so I went around asking people, french people mind you, "Locomotive" "ChooChoo",, it was hilarious..
